Institute for Arts Infused Education

Marygrove College’s Institute for Arts Infused Education provides professional training for artists, principals, in-service and pre-service teachers. The Institute has designed two training sessions, held Aug. 16 & 17, 2011, to focus on methodology and pedagogy of integrating arts across the K-12 curriculum and to provide professional development for those interested in and/or working in the field. Emergency Preparedness Planning Forum

The Detroit Area Library Network is continuing its series of Educational Forums in 2011.  This year DALNET would like to focus on presentations by its members.  Our first one this year will be presented by Barbara Heller, Director and Conservator – Special Projects of the Detroit Institute of Arts.  She will present a program on emergency preparedness planning at Wayne State University’s Purdy/Kresge Auditorium on Friday, July 22, 2011 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.  The event is free and open to the public.  If you plan to attend, please register at http://www.dalnet.lib.mi.us/register/07-22-2011.html.
